The Old Sawley Brewing Company started life as a #homebrew experiment upstairs in The #WhiteLion Sawley. We have grown a lot since then, and now have our own premises out of the back of the #pub. Our businesses are still intimately linked, with The White Lion being our first port of call for new brews as well as our core #beers.
The White Lion has a lot to offer. Close to the beautiful Sawley Marina and just across the road from Sawley's All Saints' Church, it is a very pleasant location to visit at any time of the year. Understandably, with so much open space nearby, it is also a #dog-friendly pub.
Dogs Welcome
There is always a four-legged friend or two around in the bar, with fresh water and dog biscuits available for these furry patrons. There is also a spacious beer garden, with a grassed area for dogs to stretch their legs, as well as a warm welcome from all who work behind the bar, many of whom are dog owners themselves.
What can we get you?
The well stocked bar boasts a range of wines and spirits, including local products such as Burleighs gin. However, pride of place is rightfully given to the beer and cider selection. As well as featuring our own Old Sawley beers - the most local of them all - they also feature a regularly changing selection of beers and ciders from brewers near and far. This means that there is plenty of choice, and always something new to try. The White Lion is a part of the Erewash Valley CAMRA and is a LocAle accredited pub, so you will find all local breweries are clearly marked, including our own!
There are lots of other facilities for you to enjoy a The White Lion - a big car park as well as covered and uncovered terraced areas. There is a wood-fired #pizza kitchen tucked away, so look out for something delicious at weekends and more regularly over the summer!
