Beer & Cider Festival round up

Well what a weekend it's been! We've enjoyed a fantastic four days at the White Lion Sawley Beer & Cider Festival and hundreds of you came down to join us.

Across the festival, we had a huge array of drinks on offer. There were 24 beers on the festival racks and a further 8 on the regular bar of the White Lion. Cider drinkers enjoyed 10 real ciders on the racking of the festival bar and 6 more on the bar.

Seven of these were Old Sawley beers, letting a whole new audience get to know our range, including the SIBA award winning Plummeth The Hour, which was well received according to the feedback we got via Untappd!

Alongside our beers were other breweries, near and far! We enjoyed tasting the Old Rasputin from our near neighbours Tollgate Brewery. The Secret Island IPA from Landlocked was also a highlight for us - very refreshing in the hot temperatures!

The weather brought most of our guests out into the garden, where a lively programme of live music kept everyone entertained. The wood fired pizza over turned out a seemingly endless run of freshly baked pizzas so no one went hungry.

We also welcomed along Man's Best Friend, as the White Lion is very much a dog-friendly pub. Our canine friends enjoyed free dog treats at the bar and were all treated to lots of extra cuddles from the new friends they made.

Thanks to everyone who came along. We're already looking forward to doing it all over again next year!
